Dear Friends,
In order for the Greater
Manchester Habitat for Humanity
to fulfill our mission we need
your help! Habitat works in
partnership with caring people
such as yourself to build and renovate decent, affordable
housing. These are not extravagant houses, just nice, comfortable
places to live without fear or worry.
Habitat is not a giveaway program. In addition to a down payment
and the monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds
of hours of their own labor -- sweat equity -- into building
their Habitat house and the houses of others. In order to
keep these homes as affordable as possible, they are sold
with no profit and a 0.0% interest loan.
Money from this loan then returns to a revolving account to
build more homes. This is not a hand out, but a hand up!

The Mall of
New Hampshire has announced a great way to kick
off your holiday shopping and help Greater Manchester
Habitat for Humanity at the same time. The
16th Annual Simon Evening of Giving is a special one
night only, after-hours shopping event to be held on
November 23rd from 6:00-9:30 pm. To attend this
private evening of festivities just purchase your ticket
for $10.00 from Greater Manchester Habitat for Humanity.
This is a great fund raising opportunity with $7.00
from each ticket we sell going to Manchester Habitat
and the remaining $3.00 to the Simon Youth Foundation
which helps at-risk youth achieve their goal of going
to college. Tickets are available until Nov. 20th. For

- Land or Run Down House Needed
Since we are almost finished with our
current project, we are
looking for a suitable piece of buildable land (tear down
ok) or a property that is a true "handy man special"
in order to start our next project. We are looking
for full or partial donations in order to keep the home
affordable. Any donations should be tax deductible, but
you will need to contact your CPA to determine your eligibility.
The Greater Manchester affiliate of Habitat serves the
communities of Manchester, Hooksett, Candia, Auburn, Derry,
Londonderry, Litchfield, Bedford and Goffstown.
- Donate a Car to "Cars
for Homes" - Habitat for Humanity’s car donation
program
It is quick and
easy to donate a car, truck, boat, RV, motorcycle, construction
equipment or other vehicle — running or not!
Plus, when you donate your car, your vehicle donation
may be eligible for tax deduction purposes if you itemize.
(Consult the IRS or your tax adviser for details.) Find

- Shaw's and
Star Market Receipts
Every time you shop at Shaw's or Star
Market, save your receipts and then mail them to us. Shaw's
will donate a percentage to us. Send your receipts! They
really "build" up!!! Every receipt, small or
large will help!

Here are just a few simple guidelines:
- You can submit Shaw's or Star Market
receipts dated as far back as January 30, 2007.
- Please only submit intact Shaw's or
Star Market receipts. Receipts that have been torn or
cut will not be accepted (credit card information can
be blacked out but not cut off).
- Please only submit original
Shaw's or Star Market receipts. Photocopies or
duplicates will not be accepted.
- Please only submit receipts from Shaw's
or Star Market. Receipts from other stores will not be
accepted.

We need help both at the job site and on our committees
keeping the organization running. Check out our Volunteer

To donated Online, simply click the orange
"Donated Online" link below to be directed to
Habitat's secure online giving site. When you get to the
Habiat national site, be sure to click the orange "Designate
Your Gift" button first and then specify next to
Affiliate Name : Manchester , then click "Select"
before submitting your donation.
